Advertising & Marketing Guidelines

These rules cover how approved partners may advertise and promote 8020REI across every channel: paid ads, content, email, SMS, social, video, and outreach. Following them protects you, the operators you refer, and the brand. Breaking them can void commissions and end the partnership.

Start Here

The five rules that always apply

01

Tell the truth

Every claim you make about 8020REI must be accurate and something we can back up.

02

Disclose the relationship

Clearly tell your audience you earn a commission, every time you promote us (FTC requirement).

03

Stay on brand

Use our approved name, logos, and proof points. Keep numbers accurate to what we publish, and never invent or inflate them.

04

Send claims our way

Running an ad with a stat, result, or comparison? Send it over and we will approve it fast. Everyday promotion does not need approval, and we are here to help you get claims right, not slow you down.

05

Respect the audience and the law

No spam, no deception, and promote only to the operators we actually serve.

What you can do

  • Focus on high-volume operators, roughly 50+ deals a year. They are who convert, so they are where your commissions come from. We are a premium, done-for-you platform, not a beginner tool, so point your referral link there.
  • Publish honest reviews, comparisons, tutorials, and case-style content from real experience.
  • Run organic social, blog, YouTube, podcast, and newsletter content, always with disclosure.
  • Use the official assets we provide: logos, approved screenshots, copy blocks, and proof points.
  • Run paid ads on your own brand and on non-brand keywords. You only need approval for the claims inside them, never for the campaign itself.
  • Recommend us in communities and masterminds where self-promotion is allowed.

What you can't do

  • Bidding on or running ads against "8020REI" or close variants, or implying you are us.
  • Spam of any kind: unsolicited email, SMS, DMs, or comments, or purchased and scraped lists.
  • Inventing metrics, faking proof, or making income or earnings guarantees.
  • Misrepresenting pricing, the product, or how market exclusivity works.
  • Altering our logo or building lookalike "official" 8020REI pages.
  • Promoting 8020REI alongside illegal, adult, hateful, defamatory, or deceptive content (fake news layouts, fake testimonials, fake chat widgets).
  • Referring yourself or your own company, or generating fake, incentivized, or fraudulent sign-ups.
  • Sharing non-public 8020REI information, such as unpublished pricing, roadmap, or internal data.
  • Handing your referral link to others to post, or running sub-affiliates, without approval.
  • Advertising discounts, coupons, or promo codes that 8020REI does not actually offer.
Brand & Claims

Use our facts, exactly

Use our published numbers accurately. Pull stats from 8020rei.com or the official partner asset kit, and put them in your own words if you like, as long as the figure stays true to what we published. Do not round up, inflate, or invent numbers, and if we have not published a number, do not claim it.

Describe market exclusivity correctly: "Limited Market Exclusivity, 2 to 5 operators per market, scaled by market size." Never say "only 3," "single client," or "one operator per market."

Match the voice: confident, data-driven, no hype. Talk like an operator. Avoid "get rich," "guaranteed," "passive income," and beginner framing.

Use assets as provided. Do not recolor, stretch, redraw, or recreate the logo, and do not build lookalike "official" pages.

Keep comparisons fair. If you compare 8020REI to another product, every claim must be truthful and substantiated, and you must not falsely disparage competitors.

Testimonials must be genuine. Share only real, documented results and approved case studies, reflect honest experience, and always disclose your affiliate relationship.

Income & Results

Be honest about income

Your commission is real and contractual, paid every month a referral stays active. This section is only about what you can and cannot promise other people in your marketing.

  • Do not promise anyone a specific income, whether it is what an operator will make using 8020REI or what someone could earn as an affiliate. Real outcomes depend on the person, so never present them as guaranteed.
  • Any results you reference must be real, documented, and shown as not typical. Use only case studies we provide.
  • The "refer 5 clients to earn $1,000+/month" math is an illustrative example, not a promise. If you repeat it, present it as an example and note that results vary.
Getting Paid

How you get credited and paid

How you get credited

  • Every new client is asked how they heard about us. When they mention your name or use your referral link, you get the credit.
  • Credit is verified directly with the client, so you are not relying on a cookie that can expire or get blocked.
  • Delayed sign-ups still count. If someone signs up weeks after you first reached them, your credit is not lost.
  • New referrals can take 1 to 2 business days to appear in your dashboard.

How your commission works

  • 10% of what each referral pays every month, recurring for as long as they stay active. No cap and no time limit.
  • No minimum payout. You earn from dollar one, paid by ACH at the beginning of each month.
  • If a referral upgrades, your commission grows automatically. If they go from $1,500 to $3,000 a month, your commission doubles.
  • If a referral cancels, only that one stops. Every other active referral keeps paying you the full 10%.

Everything you need lives in your partner portal at affiliates.8020rei.com: your referral link, custom tracking links and QR codes, the marketing asset kit, talking points, and your payout history. You are responsible for your own taxes on affiliate income, and a tax summary is available there for your records.

Disclosure & Law

Be clear and compliant

FTC disclosure

Clearly disclose that you earn a commission, close to the link, before the click, in plain language. A buried hashtag is not enough.

Email (CAN-SPAM)

Only contact people who opted in or who you have a real relationship with. Include a valid address and a working unsubscribe. No purchased lists.

SMS and calls (TCPA)

No unsolicited texts or auto-dialed calls. Get proper consent first.

Platform rules

Follow the advertising and self-promotion rules of every platform you use.

Paid Advertising

Run paid ads clean

  • No brand bidding or impersonation: do not buy ads on our name, use it in your domain or handle, or run pages that look official.
  • Running paid creative with a stat, result, or comparison? Send it to partnerships for a quick approval first. You never need sign-off for a whole campaign, just for the claims themselves.
  • No cookie stuffing, bots, forced clicks, fake scarcity or countdowns, fake reviews, or deceptive landing pages.

If the rules are broken

Depending on severity, violations can lead to takedown requests, withheld or clawed-back commissions, and removal from the program. Fraudulent referrals forfeit all related commissions. We may update these guidelines and will notify active partners of material changes.

Making a claim about 8020REI in an ad? Send it to your partner manager for a quick review first. Everyday promotion does not need sign-off, and when in doubt, just ask. We would rather help you get it right upfront than untangle it later.
